Tips for creating effective geozones

  • The geozone should be at least 200 meters wide and tall.
    • This will help avoid false geozone entry and exit alerts.
  • The geozone should have a meaningful and short name.
    • Text and Email entry/exit alerts will include the geozone name.
    • Example: "Tracker #14 has entered the 'East Parking Lot' Geozone".

1. (Bad Geozone) - The geozone below is too small in all directions

2. (FIXED) - This is a corrected version of #1 above.

3. (Bad Geozone) - The geozone below is too skinny from Northwest to Southeast

4. (FIXED) - This is a corrected version of #3 above

5. (Bad Geozone) - The geozone below has some cross sections which are too skinny

6. (FIXED) - This is a corrected version of #5 above.
